Our Engagement Season

Whew. So, we were on our little engagement journey. It was official, and I couldn't believe it. I don't think Jon could either even though he's the one who asked me! ;)

What a fun 6 month journey it was, too! With a few bumps along the way, we learned so much and ended up a lot closer to each other {a good place to be when you're about to say "I do!"}.

Matt and Megan Johnson took us through our pre-marital counseling. The Johnson family has been such a huge blessing to both Jon and I. Megan and I were part a small little bible study in her basement Summer 2010, and Jon started to meet with Matt occasionally for breakfast. Both played such a huge role in shaping us even toward engagement. We only saw it fit to continue that advice and encouragement to prepare us for marriage. We also met with Stuart and Greta Fuller a few times prior to the ceremony. Stuart was our officiant. The Fuller family is also a huge blessing in our life! Each of them have pushed us to closer to God and, as a result, closer to each other. Needless to say, we would not have gotten married if it weren't for these two amazing couples.

Not only did we have the advice from the Johnson's and the Fullers, but also our family and friends showered us with constant love, support, encouragement, and gifts!

Thank you to all of those who contributed in hosting and planning the showers we had! It was so much fun to gather together with some of my closest family and friends {oh, and the gift opening part ;)}!

JoAnna Webb took our engagement photos. We had so much fun that day just enjoying the crisp fall weather and being silly together {what JoAnna and I do best; what Jon and Caleb will never understand}. Thank you sweet friend for such wonderful memories.  Check out her stuff here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25946276@N05/

Our engagement season was short, but definitely more than sweet. We are so thankful for those of you who walked alongside of us during that time!
